Day 269, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge

Benacre Pit

Created by gravel extraction for the WWII pill boxes of the area, the shape and form of this body of water has changed over the years due to the constant erosion of the coastline. It did used to be pits but the one nearest the sea filled in and now is barely even noticeable. This is from the southern end looking towards the pumping station for the River Hundreds. In the distance there were 5 Little Grebes.
