The Martello tower at Slaughden, Aldeburgh. A little difficult to get to with the sea wall being repaired at the moment. On top is one of Antony Gormley’s cast iron figures (part of his work entitled “Land” which features 5 figures) facing east looking out across the North Sea. Today with rain and hail showers falling from the sky.

Day 113, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge
Posting a little late today although this was done earlier as I was giving an acrylic demonstration this evening.
It seemed appropriate the sketch some of the brushes that I was getting ready.
Day 112, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge
Looking across the fields eastwards to Covehithe Church.
Day 111, of my 2016 sketch a day challenge
