This sketch is from the footpath that runs along the southern banks of the River Blyth on the footpath that leads to the Blythburgh White Hart pub. The path was awash with autumnal colours with beautiful Silver Birch and Oak that has managed to hold onto their leaves after last weekends storms. I noticed this view on the way to the White Hart and then sketched this on the way back. The estuary was full of Avocets, Godwits, Redshanks and also Egrets Harriers and a brief flight of a Woodcock in the woods.
Another feather, this one not in it’s finest condition. I am not sure what this feather is from.
Time for a sketch while walking my dog Pippa on the beach. In the distance the container ship ‘Ocean Rainbow’ goins south down the north sea.
My current exhibition is currently running at Ferini Gallery in Pakefield, Suffolk. The exhibition is with my husband and fellow artist Mark Churchman who is exhibiting his watercolours. The exhibition runs until 18th December and the gallery is open 11am to 4pm on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
