It’s always a lovely sight to see the cattle on the marshes behind the hustle and bustle of the harbour. I think they are oblivious to everything going on around them.
Another A2 sketch. 59.4cm X 42cm.

So this morning I was up early to get today’s sketch finished, in fact I already had it all planned from yesterday. This baler was out working in a field between Ringsfield and Ilketshall St Lawrence.
So why was I getting this finished early? This afternoon I was pleased to be Lesley Dolphin’s sofa guest on Radio Suffolk for an hour discussing my 100 day project. So part of the chat included asking if anyone out there in Suffolk or Norfolk is involved in farming or a rural activity that may be exciting to sketch and draw, so if you do I would be pleased to hear from you.
Lesley was surprised at just how large the drawings are, something that is hard to appreciated from these posts.
I love the road that sweeps through Heveningham with the grounds of Heveningham Hall either side. From the road you can often, as today, see their flocks of Suffolk sheep grazing under the trees.
These little piglets were out on the Blythburgh to Westleton road. The piglets were having a great time running around and playing visiting mum every now and then for a feed.
Had a great time this morning At Brampton Willows with Robert and Susie Yates. Robert grows his own willow from which he weaves his sculptures and decorative fences. This morning Robert was weaving one of his tusks. It’s amazing to see how much work is involved.
