Normally bred for the steep hillsides in Wales but not exclusively, seems they can be very happy on the flat in Suffolk too.
“The committee” YANA day 53 of 100
Of course if these 3 hens were in a committee it would have been to discuss something like “what’s this person doing shoving that camera into our hen house!” More of the free range organic hens from Maple farm in Kelsale. Happy hens.
“Hampshire down sheep” YANA day 52 of 100
An agricultural show like the Aylsham show is a great place to see farm animals. These two Hampshire Down sheep were in a pen together waiting to be shown. The sheep seemed to be really enjoying their day out.
“Returning to the farm” YANA day 51 of 100
Thank you Radio Suffolk for having me back to discuss how the project is going as we have reached halfway. Also the relevance as today is World suicide prevention day which they were discussing too.
Also an opportunity to draw another single farmer in a landscape to depict the solitude that so many farmer find on a daily basis. The scene could be anywhere in Suffolk or Norfolk.

“Saxstead Green Post Mill” YANA day 50 of 100
So here I am exactly half way through this drawing challenge. Once windmills like Saxstead were numerous and a common sight milling grain for the local community but over time numbers decreased with the advent of steam.
Saxstead Green post mill is still currently being restored.
