I was out last night in the beautiful evening light, deep in the Waveney valley somewhere near St James South Elmham. All along the east coast of Norfolk and Suffolk farmers are dealing with the land loss due to coastal erosion. Here at Covehithe every year I have witnessed the ever decreasing size of this field in particular.
It’s always a lovely sight to see the cattle on the marshes behind the hustle and bustle of the harbour. I think they are oblivious to everything going on around them. Another A2 sketch. 59.4cm X 42cm.
