Blythburgh Estuary
So this is the concluding sketch to this years challenge and as I suggested in last weeks post I was accompanied by Paul and Michaela of FeriniMedia who filmed the whole process of the last sketch. Once the film is finished I will post a link to it.
How lucky it was today that it did not rain like it did yesterday or it was not freezing cold like most of the preceding week and with the filming we were blessed with a mild day with some winter sunshine albeit ever changing.
I had this view in mind for the last sketch for a few week now looking across from Blythburgh to Bulcamp house on the Southwold side of course I had no idea then that the tide would be out but the resultant expanse of mud was perfect and full of Avocets, Dunlin, Redshanks and Shelduck.
Interestingly it was only as I thought I was finished I noticed the moon which is nearing being full which must have been behind the clouds, so I felt I had to add it.
Now I just need to frame the pictures for the exhibition at Ferini Gallery starting 19th January.
