Wall Barley sketch A very busy day painting in the studio so quick dash out for a sketch. A very common grass which everyone is familiar with is this Wall Barley or False Barley (Hordeum murinum), this one growing in Kessingland.

Blackberry flowers sketch These blackberries flowers (Rubus fruticosus) are a delicate pink rather than the sometimes white petals. Already there are some blackberries starting to fruit. These are very prickly.

Covehithe beach On Covehithe beach just north of Covehithe broad looking north towards Benacre. This is a favorite place of many to walk under the ever changing cliffs that are constantly being eroded by the waves that pound at high tide and especially during storms.
