All along the east coast of Norfolk and Suffolk farmers are dealing with the land loss due to coastal erosion. Here at Covehithe every year I have witnessed the ever decreasing size of this field in particular.

“Cattle grazing on the marshes, Southwold” YANA day 16 of 100
It’s always a lovely sight to see the cattle on the marshes behind the hustle and bustle of the harbour. I think they are oblivious to everything going on around them. Another A2 sketch. 59.4cm X 42cm.

So this morning I was up early to get today’s sketch finished, in fact I already had it all planned from yesterday. “Suffolk sheep” YANA day 14 of 100
I love the road that sweeps through Heveningham with the grounds of Heveningham Hall either side. From the road you can often, as today, see their flocks of Suffolk sheep grazing under the trees.
“Blythburgh pigs” YANA day 13
These little piglets were out on the Blythburgh to Westleton road. The piglets were having a great time running around and playing visiting mum every now and then for a feed.
