Hawthorn berries (Crataegus monogyna) Crikey where has the summer gone, looks like Autumn is knocking on the door as these red Hawthorn are now so prevalent.

Swallows flying over the River Blyth Sitting in the garden of The White Hart at Blythburgh across the River Blyth. There was a constant stream of Swallows flying along the river edge and in the far distance a visiting Osprey.

Ivy buds The Ivy that grows in my garden is a wonderful for habitat and food plant for wildlife. Mostly it is a wonderful year round refuge, but it’s flowers are also a great pollen source, My Ivy is gettingĀ close to flowering, at the moment I love the tightly closed flower balls.
