Little froglets peeping through the duckweed, sketched whilst doing Norfok Open Studios at Gill’s.
It may be considered a weed but in its own way it is quite beautiful. It is an interesting plant with the spear like leaves being all basal. A great plant for butterflies and also a favorite in winter with its seed heads for birds.

Growing in abundance at Covehithe by the footpath on the way from the road to Covehithe Broad are plenty of Red Campion (Silene dioica) plants. Also known as Red Catchfly.
